The Christmas season brings many opportunities to be together and celebrate the arrival of baby Jesus.  Here are some of the special events planned.


FAMILY CHRISTMAS CONCERT sunday | december 10 | 4pm

Celebrate the season with the musicians of Christ Church and Christ Church School. The Chancel Choir will join voices with the school choir, plus Brass Renaissance for traditional songs and few new Christmas delights. The concert closes with a not-to-be-missed children’s Live Nativity. Afterward, join us in the gym lobby for a holiday reception, and take in the Christ Church School Art Show in the Fellowship Halls. CHRISTMAS EVE | SUNDAY | DECEMBER 24

Christ Church will hold four services on Christmas Eve, all on the Fort Lauderdale Campus, 4845 NE 25th Avenue.


10am | one combined sunday worship service | fort lauderdale sanctuary

Sunday, December 24, is the fourth Sunday of Advent, a time of preparing our hearts for the birth of the Christ child. This will be a Sunday morning worship service with traditional and praise songs, and the message, We See God in Each Other. This will be a Sit-Together Sunday, when children worship with their families. 5pm | traditional candlelight service | fort lauderdale sanctuary

Rejoice in the Christmas story from scripture, and celebrate with beautiful music including a string quartet, all led by Chuck Stanley, director of traditional music. This service includes the Christmas Eve message by Pastor Alex Shanks. The service ends with the traditional lighting of candles and the singing of Silent Night. There will be busy bags and glow sticks for the children. The nursery will be open to children 3 and younger. 7pm | traditional candlelight service | fort lauderdale sanctuary

Spent the final hour of Christmas Eve in the peace and beauty of the sanctuary. We will worship with scripture and music from the Chancel Choir and String Quartet, led by Chuck Stanley, director of traditional music. This service includes the Christmas Eve message by Pastor Alex Shanks and includes sharing Holy Communion.  The service ends with the traditional lighting of candles and the singing of Silent Night. NURSERY | FORT LAUDERDALE

The nursery is open for children 3 and younger during the 10am, 5pm and 7pm services on the Fort Lauderdale Campus. The nursery is located in the building just east of the sanctuary. 


PARKING | FORT LAUDERDALE

You are invited to park around the buildings on the Fort Lauderdale Campus, as well as in the area sometimes called Christ Church Park at the corner of NE 21st Avenue and NE 24th Terrace. On Christmas Eve night,  Christ Church Field will also be open for parking. 


NEW YEAR'S EVE | DECEMBER 31 | 10am

We will worship together in a joint service this New Year's Eve Day. It will be a Sit Together Sunday, when elementary school children worship with their families.  The nursery will be open. We will share Holy Communion.
