St. John United Methodist and Christ Church's Anti-Racism Task Force invite you to mark Juneteenth with worship, praise and beloved community on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 10am. Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans.
Rev. Dr. Sharon Austin, director of connectional and justice ministries for the vision of The Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church, will be the speaker. Matthew "Bud" Walters and Ellyn Ferguson Walters will be honored with the Sylvia Alridge Legacy Award.
While the deadline to sign up for lunch has passed, you are invited to attend this inspiring worship service. Please note: masks are required in the St. John Sanctuary and optional at the outdoor lunch.
First-come, first-served parking is available north of the church. Parking for those with handicap placards/decals will be available around the church. Overflow parking will be at North Fork Elementary School, 101 NW 15th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, with shuttle service to and from St. John church.
